Biography
Chairon was born on Calth and personally witnessed the Word Bearers attack during the Horus Heresy.[2b] The carnage left by the Word Bearers left him with a fierce hatred of heretics.[2c] Made into a Primaris Space Marine by Belisarius Cawl, he was put in stasis along with the other Primaris marines until after the resurrection of Roboute Guilliman 10,000 years later. He then served in the Unnumbered Sons for a time before being placed into the Ultramarines 2nd Company.[2f]
Serving alongside Gadriel, the two were later placed under the command of the newly returned Lieutenant Demetrian Titus during battles against the Tyranids on Kadaku and Avarax.[2a] When it became apparent that the Thousand Sons were manipulating the events surrounding Project Aurora, Chairon flew into a rage and abandoned his squad to recklessly pursue the traitors.[2c] He was reprimanded for this by Titus, but later when an Astropath accused the Lieutenant of being a traitor Chairon slew the Psyker and exposed Imurah's treachery. When asked how he knew that the Psyker was possessed by the Sorcerer, Chairon stated that he had an innate sense of Warp corruption.[2d]
Together with Titus, Gadriel, and Marneus Calgar, Chairon was able to eventually defeat Imurah and his allied Lord of Change on Demerium.[2e]
Sometime later, Chairon would go on to become a decorated Lieutenant in Captain Acheran's Company. However his service to the Imperium ended, when Chairon joined the Captain's strike force to Trygg which was subsequently destroyed by a Genestealer Cult. Their sacrifice though, greatly reduced the spread of the Cult's rebellion and allowed the Hive World to be saved by Imperial reinforcements.[5]
Chairon's left knee-plate bore the Iron Halo Space Marine Honour Badge.

Trivia
- Chairon being a survivor of the Battle of Calth would make him over 10,000 years old at the time of the events of Space Marine II. It was later stated by a developer for the game that he indeed was alive at the time of the battle but was subsequently taken by Belisarius Cawl and put into stasis while being remade into a Primaris Space Marine.[3] This is further clarified in game with the Datavault Research Centre.[2f]
