Nuadhu 'Fireheart'
Nuadhu 'Fireheart' is a Wild Rider of Saim Hann's Clan Fireheart.[1]
Biography
Nuadhu is a legendary Vyper rider that rides standing up to aid in his attacks. He is the heir of Clan Fireheart, which is led by his ailing father Naiall Fireheart and half-sister Caelledhin.[4a] He is also considered reckless, paying no heed to danger and gladly flying straight into the heaviest enemy fire. His Wild Riders also follow him into the fiercest fighting.[1]
In mid-M39, he led his Craftworld's forces in slaying the Daemon Prince of Slaanesh Lilesh Snarelust, plunging his own Celestial Lance into the Daemon's Heart.[2] He also took part in the Pyrus Reach Conflict.[3]
At the end of the 41st Millennium, Nuadhu, Naiall, and Caelledhin all journey to the Ynnead's Dream to request aid from the Ynnari in battling Necrons on Agarimethea.[4a] Believing that the final Cronesword may lie on the world, Yvraine agreed and her forces take part in the raid alongside other Saim-Hann forces.[4b] During the battle against Necrons and later inadvertently released Daemons, it was revealed by Yvraine that Naiall had been unintentionally harboring the soul of his first wife and Caelledhin's mother, Iyothia Icewhisper, within him which explained his decline in health. Nuadhu and Caelledhin are able to get Naiall to relinquish her soul, allowing Yvraine to use her power to break through the Necron null-field and reconnect with Ynnead briefly and turn the tide of the battle.[4d] In the final stage of the battle, Caelledhin sacrificed herself to seal the Warp portal at the center of the Necron tomb complex. Nuadhu, grieving his half-sister but changed by the experience, departed back to Saim-Hann and contemplated on his place in his Clans future now that his father is back to full health.[4d]
Alean – The Steed of Khaine
Nuadhu rides upon a Vyper that has been built to allow him to fight on its back, much as Khaine rode to war on the legendary steed Alean.[1]
