Ozostium Aranthus
Ozostium Aranthus, the First of Aranthus, the Divine Prince, is a psychic member of House Aranthus of Necromunda, whose appearance is that of a giant human clad in metal armour.[1a]
Biography
Fallen House
It was long believed that Aranthus was a Fallen House, but Ozostium and his siblings were alive and imprisoned by the ruling House Helmawr, who were among the House's enemies.[1a]
Ozostium had been placed in a casket that resided within the vaults of the Cathedral of the Emperor Deified in Hive Temenos.[1a] He was able to use his Psychic powers to influence the minds of others and began plotting to free himself.[1b] When he would be free, Ozostium would then free his siblings and lead a reborn House Aranthus to destroy Helmawr's bloodline and claim Necromunda for himself.[1a]
The Credo Rebellion
Centuries later, Ozostium gathered servants such as Lady Credo and the Prophet of Redemption to his cause, along with other powerful allies and armies hidden from Helmawr's gaze. After the Great Rift opened, darkness enveloped Necromunda and Ozostium knew that it was time to set his plans into motion and called upon his servants to carry them out.[1b]
Due in large part to the actions of Lady Credo and the Prophet of Redemption, Ozostium was freed from Temenos's vaults and immediately took over the hive and used it as his base of operations. He then turned his attention to conquering the rest of the Palatine Cluster, as Ozostium's hidden agents and armies rose up to weaken House Helmawr's grip on Necromunda.[1b]
Lady Credo also assured Ozostium that his agents were scouring the Hive World to find and free his imprisoned siblings. However, the acting planetary governor, Haera Helmawr, still fought to keep her rulership of Necromunda.[1b]
