Rayko Solomus
Rayko Solomus was a Legion Torturer of the Sons of Horus Legion during the Horus Heresy.[1]
Biography
Solomus participated in the Battle of Isstvan III on the side of the traitors. Solomus claimed to have killed many of his own legion brothers during the battle and to be completely loyal to Horus. Solomus was assigned to aid Regulus of the Dark Mechanicum in his mission to access the Wrought, a secret Salamanders weapon cache.[1]
Solomus was brought in by Regulus to interrogate the captured Salamanders captain Rahz Obek. Solomus failed to get any information from the captain and insisted the captain was the first person that never screamed under his torture. Solomus was dismissed by Regulus and joined his brothers to prepare for the Sons of Horus' defense of the Wrought against an imminent Salamanders strike. Solomus was assigned to the small secondary force under Vosto Kurnan which was meant to flank the Salamanders and corner them. Though they failed to prevent the Salamanders from saving captain Obek and retreating into the Wrought itself.[1]
After the Wrought reopened, Solomus joined the battle against the Salamanders alongside Kurnan. When Kurnan demanded an honour duel with Obek, which the Salamander captain accepted, Solomus interfered. Solomus wounded Obek with a throwing knife. Enraged, another Salamander named Ak'nun Xen attacked Solomus. Solomus and Xen fought until Solomus managed to subdue the Salamander with his torture knives. However, their duel was interrupted before Solomus could finish Xen off by an attack from the Shattered Legions under Kastigan Ulok. Solomus was engaged by Morikan of the Raven Guard in the resulting chaos and cut in half.[1]
