The original battle honor, likely a banner, has long since decayed and all that remains is a ceramite icon which is considered too precious to be displayed even in the Inner [[Reclusiam]] aboard the [[Phalanx]]. At least one of the Imperial Fists' [[Space Marine Standards|Chapter Banners]] references the honor and prominently displays the name "Roma."^{{Fn|1}}

It is not known for what heroic deed the Imperial Fists were awarded Roma.
