Before the Fall of Gryphonne IV, Talin Sherax had received several injunctions from seniors within the Explorator Order to correct what they viewed as an overly deliberate, even unhurried, approach to her holy work. After the fall of the forge-cradle, her conduct would change drastically with her adhering to a more direct and impatient behavioural template. The ductrix's conversations with her close collaegues would also become more reserved in the recent years after the fall.2h
In the Era Indomitus and 3 Martian years, or 6 Terran years, after she witnessed the destruction of her homeworld, Explorator Sherax would delve into the Space Hulk known as Misery's Daughter.2g The location of which she had learned from the Augur skills of Magos Lyterix. This would be Sherax's third expedition into a Space Hulk since her ascension to of the role of Ductrix of the Peregrinus. As done in prior expeditions, the standard procedure for Adeptus Echanicus expeditions into Space Hulks is to first disable any Warp Engines to prevent any from misfiring without warning and ending the its nomadic wandering.2h
Explorator Sherax's expedition into the wreckage making up Misery's Daughter was in search of a tech-priest and a strange artifact. She was in pursuit of a miracle that would be the salvation of her people. They would be found within the wreck of the Almagest, a Magellenic Class Explorator ship, the same pattern of ship that mirrored her own voidship the Peregrinus.
