The rumour was only partly correct as the portal had not been opened yet, in truth this was the goal of Kheradruakh the Decapitator, the Mandrake king, who spent eight millenia collecting perfect skulls. During the Dysjunction caused by the apotheosis of Yvraine, the decapitator collected his final skull for his obsesive underground ritual. The gaze of all thousand bored a hole in the wall between worlds, and a gateway to the Midnight Dimension was opened – ushering forth from it a morass of Mandrakes and other Tenebreous Monsters.1
