Torthusa is a Agri World of the Imperium. It is a world of subterranean tunnels, filled with bioluminescent fungi.[1]
History
Torthusa was involved in the Charadon Campaign, facing an invasion force of 7 vectoriums of the Death Guard including the infamous Hollow Ones and Daemon Engine packs of the Gristlepus Guard. Imperial forces here were led by Marshal Decitor Septrax-Tertian and successfully stalled the Chaos Space Marines advance, repeatedly outflanking them. However, despite a number of small victories, the Imperials could not overcome the Death Guard's supernatural endurance, biological warfare, and numerical superiority with the cavern-delves falling one by one to Chaos forces and the conflict turning into a costly deadlock.[2a]
Following the withdrawal of external forces by Fabricator-General Khleng in defence of the Forge World Metalica, Chaos forces eventually won the day and butchered the world's surviving PDF regiments.[2b]
