Ughalax
Ughalax the Soul Eater is an infamous Black Legion Daemon Prince.[1a]
History
In M42, he became a commander of the Ark of Omen Unhallowed and launched an invasion of the Imperial world Vaingloria, to claim the Key-Fragment it contained. As his forces fought across the world, Ughalax scorned the wider-conflict and led a hand picked Warband of Black Legionaries deep into Cadian lines, to secure the Fragment[1a]. Afterwards, the invasion continued and Ughalax later called upon the mightiest and most terrible powers to aid in his final onslaught on the world.[1b]
Ughalax and his forces later reappeared on Arthas Moloch, intent on claiming a key-fragment but coming into conflict with Commander Farsight and Orks. While failing to destroy the Tau or Orks, rival Alpha Legion agents under Lord Glass successfully acquired the Key-Fragment and offered it to the Unhalloweds Warp Portal. Ughalax was not particularly angered by being denied glory, instead viewing himself as a cog in the machine of Chaos. He stated his forces had achieved their objective and ordered a withdrawal.[2]
Later, Ughalax's Ark of Omen Unhallowed was boarded by the combined armies of the Ork Warlords Bolgrog Bigtusk, Skragga Fundastomp, and Da Smoggboss. During the ensuing war, Ughalax was apparently killed, though none of the Orks can agree on who defeated the Daemon.[3]
