The Valedor System was recently an Imperial system, formerly under ancient Aeldari control, that orbit the star Valedan. The Valedor System was invaded by two Tyranid Hive Fleets; Leviathan and a splinter fleet of Kraken.[1]
History
Imperial settlers arrived in 311.M39 and was brought into compliance with Imperial Tithe bands by 321.M39. This thriving system would meet its end in 999.M41 with the Tyranid invasion of the system that ultimately converged on Valedor.[1]

During the Third Tyrannic War in 999.M41, Hive Fleet Leviathan invaded one side of the system whilst the lost remnants of Hive Fleet Kraken invaded from the other. A splinter fleet of Hive Fleet Kraken was pulled into a warp rift long ago and thought dead until it emerged in the Valedor System from the Warp Rift known as the Vortex of Despair. Through the combined Aeldari forces of Craftworlds Iyanden and Biel-Tan, alongside Drukhari forces of the Kabal of the Black Heart and Wych Cult of Strife, the merging of the two disparate Hive Fleet tendrils was denied and destroyed.[1]
