Valius is an Intercessor of the Ultramarines Second Company and a member of Combat Squad Veridian.[1a]

Biography
Valius on board The Battle Barge Resilient alongside his squadmates Straban and Decimus of Squad Veridian when Lieutenant Demetrian Titus called them to battle as he needed another squad to handle a seperate mission. Titus debriefed his men that his squad, Combat Squad Damocles is ordered to recover data from a mechanicus research facility in sector 41A but a large Tyranid Swarm threatens to overrun both the Facility and an Imperial Guard base to the East. Titus ordered Combat Squad Veridian to run a delaying action by sabotaging a Promethium Refinery to delay their advance and Titus will give additional information once the squad begins to deploy on their mission. With those orders given, the squad head out to the Thunderhawk Gunships to start the mission.[1b]
Inferno
Once Valius and his squad were deployed, Titus instructed their squad to find the Promethium Refinery and used its stored Promethium to destroy Tyranid Swarm. Cadians in the area would assist on their mission but they lost contact with them, Veridian needs to restablish communications with the Cadians as soon as possible. After fighting through hordes of Tyranid beasts, Valius and his brothers managed to find the Astra Militarum outpost but all of its personnel is wiped out. Captain Acheran upon hearing this news ordered Valius and his brothers to find the Astra Militarum demolition codes from the dead corpses in order for them to use their ordinances to destroy the Tyranid Swarm. The group fought their way in the camp and managed to find the codes and head out to the facility. Once inside they used the codes and deploy the ordinances inside a crude Promethium well, Valius and his brother had to defend the generators powering the crane as it lowers the ordinances into the well. Once the ordinances are in place Acheran ordered his brothers to head out to the Observation platform overlooking the Promethium fields and used it as a vantage point to ambush the tyranids. Arriving on the Observation platform, Acheran instructed Valius and his brothers to wait until the bulk of the swarm arrived on the ambush point and detonate the explosives. Valius and brothers fought countles waves of Tyranids as they needed explicit orders from Acheran when the main swarm arrived. After several minutes of fighting, Acheran ordered his brothers to denote the explosives and destroy the swarm. They managed to detonate the explosives and destroyed 90% of the Tyranid swarm, with their objective complete they extracted back to the Resilient. [1a]
Onboard the Resilient, Valius and Squad Veridian heard ill news of Titus collapsing but is relieved to see him recover in a short time span despite his wounds from the surgery. Valius and his Squad reported the mission success and thank Titus in leading them.[1a]
Vox Liberatis
Days later into the Avarax campaign, Titus devised a plan to elminate the Hive Tyrant and send in another squad to restore the Vox Communications. Valius and his squad from Veridian is tasked with finding the source of the Jamming Signal as Vox Communication towards the Astropathic Relay is being jammed. Arriving on Avarax City, Valius and his squad started to fight their way through several sectors until they see a massive warp shield protecting an Cathedral corrupted by the Thousand Sons. With this new information they scour as much as they can in the sector to find a way to disrupt the shield. Valius and his squad found a chaos alter while scouring the location and they managed to kill the defenders including a Thousand Sons Sorcerer. With the Alter destroyed and enemies dead, they moved on into another location and found a second altar and destroy it. After destroying the Second Altar the shield collapses and the Thousand Sons forces are overrun and the entrance to the Cathedral is opened. Valius and his squad entered the Cathedral and descend into the lower levels and there they found a Daemon Host being the source of the Jamming Signal. Valius and his brothers quickly found and destroyed as many chaos altars as they can while being under attack by a Daemon Host possessed by a Lord of Change. Valius and his men succeeded in banishing the Daemon and evacuated back to the Resilient.[1a]
Reliquary
After successfully sending a message for aid to their Chapter Master Marneus Augustus Calgar, Valius and his brothers from Squad Veridian are now tasked with destroying the Warp Beacon on Demerium as the Thousand Sons used it to call in reinforcements to overrun the Imperial invasion forces fighting on Demerium. Valius and his squad moved in and fought against the thousand sons as they make their way to the beacon's location. An obsctacle arises when Valius and his squad found the door to the Tomb chamber is closed and they have to use ancient terminal to access it. With the help of Instructions from both the Terminal and assisstance from Captain Acheran they managed to open the chamber and head out to the warp beacon. Along the way a Heldrake bombards their position as the Daemon Engine is protecting the Beacon at all cost even killing troops from the Thousand Sons. Despite the constant bombardment from the Heldrake, Valius and his squad entered the Sanctum holding the Warp Beacon. Inside the Sanctum a Machine Spirit communicated with Valius and his squad regarding the chaos corruption and it can be purified using Saint Lancae's relics. The Machine Spirit gave instructions on what sigils to use in order to cleanse the Sanctum, with this information the squad head out and confront the Heldrake. Using the Sigils and Relics of Saint Lancae, Valius and his squad managed to defeat the Heldrake and destroyed the Warp Beacon ensuring the Thousand Sons don't get additional reinforcements.[1a]
Obelisk
After Combat Squad Veridian and Combat Squad Talasa finished all their objectives, their next orders were given to them by both Captain Acheran and Lieutenant Demetrian Titus with excplicit instructions on finding the Obelisk Control Console and shut down the shields. Valius and the Squad members of Veridian and Talasa quickly fought their way against countless hordes of troops from the Thousand Sons as they make their way to the Control Console. They made their way into a tomb and used it to get to the Control Console. However issues arrises when the Tomb itself is filled with Chaos Corruption and they have to use a holy relic to navigate through it. Eventually the Squads managed to escape the tomb unharmed and arrived on the Control Console being guarded a Thousand Sons Sorcerer. Fight ensues and both squads managed to eliminate Sorcerer and shut down the Obelisk Control Console. After doing their missions they regrouped with their brothers from the Second Company and continued fighting the Thousand Sons.[1a]
Victory over the Thousand Sons
After the defeat of the Thousand sons on Demerium, Valius would attend Liuetenant Demetrian Titus ceremony as he is awarded with the Laurels of Victory given to him by their Chapter Master Marneus Augustus Calgar. After the Ceremony Valius would continue his duties onboard the Battle Barge Resilient.[1a]
