The White Templars are a Codex Chapter of Space Marines.[1]
Overview
The White Templars are stoic and relentless in the prosecution of their foes. For a time they were thought to be Imperial Fists successors, but recent Administratum discoveries have thrown doubt on that claim. The White Templars have been shaken by this revelation, and have launched a Crusade to discover the truth.[4]
A world protected by the White Templars under oath is Ystrad. They would uphold this oath for 3,000 years until it was condemned to Exterminatus in M42 while preparing defences against an oncoming Tyranid Hive Fleet invasion.[6]
Notable Battles
- M42: Pariah Crusade — A strike force of White Templars was among the Imperial defenders of the Skahren System.[7]
- M42: Fourth Tyrannic War — The White Templars' own homeworld of Sanctum was threatened during the Battle of Bastior, though the Chapter was mostly away on the Indomitus Crusade and left its defence to other Imperial forces.[5]
Heraldry
The White Templars wear white armour with black pauldrons and a black aquila. Their symbol is a white, eight-pointed cross crosslet with each point impaled by a chevron, on a black background.[1]
