Nyos Yllithian is a Dark Eldar and Archon of the Kabal of the White Flames.[4a]

History

Nyos Yllithian[4f]

Considered to be a master schemer by himself and those around him, he longs for the day where he can one day usurp Asdrubael Vect for control of Commorragh.[1] Yllithian is of old aristocratic blood, and resents Vect's new system of Kabal supremacy over the nobility.[1] To achieve his goals he formed an alliance with two other Kabals, the Kabal of the Realm Eternal and the Kabal of the Blades of Desire. He planned to raid an Exodite World and steal a pure soul, allowing its tortured screams and the aid of the master Haemonculus Bellathonis to resurrect the infamous Tyrant of Shaa-Dom, El'uriaq.[1]

However, it soon became apparent that when El'uriaq had been brought back, he had not come alone. Now possessed by a Daemon bent on causing a collapse of the Webway in Commorragh, Yllithian was becoming increasingly isolated from his own followers, who looked to El'uriaq as their lord, and became ever-desperate to stop the Tyrant of Shaa-Dom.[1][2] Through manipulation of a World Singer and use of the Glass Plague with Bellathonis' help, Yllithian was narrowly able to assassinate El'uriaq.[1a] However the Archon was badly wounded, and was resurrected by Bellathonis.[3a]

Weakened by the El'uriaq ordeal, Nyos was seemingly killed by his relative, Razicik. However this was just a trap, and Nyos was able to use a device from Bellathonis to transfer his consciousness into Razick's body, rejuvenated.[3b] Yllithian then mobilized his forces against Daemons attacking one of Commorragh's captured sons with the allied Succubus Aez'ashya, but was betrayed by forces loyal to Asdrubael Vect for his role in the catastrophe.[3c] Returning to his fortress, Yllithian resolved to launch a rebellion against Vect.[4a]

Rallying other disgruntled Archons to his cause, Yllithian was confronted by Kharbyr, a Kabalite Warrior who has since swapped bodies with Bellathonis and impersonates the Haemonculus in a revenge plot against him. In truth, Kharbyr was being telepathically manipulated by Angevere, a Dark Eldar Psyker whose head was held in the fortress of the Coven of the Black Descent. Kharbyr/Bellathonis convinced Yllithian to launch a raid into the lair of the Black Descent to rescue the powerful Archon Xelian.[4b] As Yllithian's fortress was besieged by Vect's agent Valossian Sythrac, the Archon and his elite were guided by Kharbyr to the Black Descent's labyrinth and battle the forces of Patriarch Zykleiades.[4c] The group was able to free Archon Xelian, and as they prepared to leave were ambushed by the Mandrakes of Xhakoruakh, who had been manipulated by the reveal Bellathonis into invading the lair of the Black Descent. Yllithian was able to ally with Xhakoruakh against Vect.[4d]

Before their conspiracy could come to fruition, Xhakoruakh was assassinated by Kheradruakh. Unaware of this, Yllithian and Xelian launch an attack to relieve his besieged fortress in cooperation with Mandrakes, still under attack by Vect's forces. With all of his rebels gathered in one location, Vect revealed he had been manipulating the entire turn of event and unleashed the full power of Commorragh's captive sons upon their army. Yllithian survived the blast but was wounded before being betrayed by Xelian and delivered to Vect. In a grand public spectacle, Vect revealed that Yllithian was a pawn of Tzeentch, but just before his execution was rescued by Motley, who killed Xelian and revealed she was the true Daemonic pawn. Vect was amused by this turn of events and agreed to spare Yllithian and appointed Bellathonis as his new personal Haemonculus.[4e]
