The 24th Ventrillian Nobles, known as the Dragoons, are a Ventrillian Nobles Regiment.[1a]

History
The 24th and the 95th Ventrillian Nobles are among the Imperium's forces, that are defending Montar VII from an Ork invasion. However during the course of the battle there, an attack[1a] by the Goffs Warboss Skogrin[1b] separated the 24th and the 95's Vanguard forces from the Imperium's main military formation. Skogrin's horde then pursued the Regiment and the 24th's Company Commander, Stromfjord, led them and the 95's Vanguard to seek refuge at the Grox farm of the Imperial citizen Ortan Glazer. Stromfjord's combined forces only had a short time to ready the farm,[1a] before Skogrin's horde began attacking it in waves.[1b] Though the Ventrillians suffered numerous casualties and deaths, they were able to kill so many of the Orks, that Skogrin decided to retreat from the farm.[1e]
