Idranvel searched for the fabled Turellea Dandramensha, translating to Dominion Genesis in Gothic. These were enormous life-seeding vessels once used by ancient Aeldari to terraform worlds across the galaxy into verdant Paradise Worlds. It was a tool the eldar used to make a garden of the galaxy. Its so-called Genesis Effects were able to transmute any substance into living, breathing flora and fauna. In Aeldari myth it is said to be a gift from Vaul the Maker, a prominent god in Eldar Mythology.[1c]
This search for the Dominion Genesis would lead him to utilising the destruction of Forge World Gryphonne IV by Hive Fleet Leviathan to create unknowing pawns to aid in his search for the ancient Aeldari world-seeding vessel. Idranvel claims responsibility for directing the hive fleet towards the heart of the Gryphonnen Octad. The most promising tool from this supposed orchestrated destruction of the Forge World was Explorator Sherax, an individual he began to follow unnoticed in the shadows as she searched for clues leading to the whereabouts of the same fabled Genesis vessel Idranvel sought.[1c]
Idranvel would ambush Sherax's expedition on Ikaneos-A, a former Exodite World and last world to be given life by the Turellea Dandramensha before it was lost.[1c]
Idranvel ambushed Sherax, nearly killing her after defeating her Protector, Phocon Xal. The Warp Spider stole the Genesis crystal from her and disappeared. Shortly after Idranvel made his retreat, a black armoured Wraithknight emerged from the fane's nearby Webway Gate. The Mechanicus expedition routed the remaining Eldar after barely defeating the Wraithknight. Only remnants of the Tech-Priest's expedition remained and Idranvel believed he and his fleet had destroyed or disabled all their means of transport, stranding them on the world.[1l]
Idranvel and his forces then proceeded back through the Webway, eventually arriving at the star system that the Turellea Dandramensha has been hidden in for untold millennia: a star system with a blue star and 3 planets. The most distant was a rocky world barely held by the star's gravity, another was a gas giant, and the third was a planet with a molten ferrous core producing a magnetic field around the world. Hanging in orbit of this world was the Genesis Vessel. Necron and Biel-tan voidcraft battled in the unnamed star system as the explorators eventually made their way to the same location.[1g]
The vessel hung in orbit of an unnamed, half-terraformed world. The vessel resembled a fat-bellied multi-limbed arachnid. The central disc making up its body was about the size of a continental shelf it loomed above, its long limbs stretched out, bathing the landscape in the scarlet glow of the Genesis phenomenon's life-transmuting effects. The world was a half molten hellscape of toxic ash and rivers of lava, half verdant paradise with idyllic hills and clouds, held in the many insectoid arms of the bulbous spider-like form of the Genesis vessel. The limbs of the vessel curled inward as if to hold the world in an unseen grip.[1g]
One of the explorator's companions, Magos Lyterix stepped forward and made an offer to Idranvel, stating that humanity and the aeldari could work together to learn the secrets of the Dominion Genesis vessel for the benefit of both their species, an opportunity to bridge a new understanding between our empires. Idranvel flatly declined, stating the Turellea Dandramensha was a divine gift from the Aeldari gods and for their people alone.[1h]
The Skittari Protector Xal would step forward to challenge his Warp Spider rival, Astartes chainsword at the ready. The two would duel as Biel-tan Aeldari materialised from nowhere to engage the explorator's forces.[1h]
Sherax spared his life and left him to die slowly aboard the Genesis vessel as his greatest desire was destroyed around him. She did this to spite him, in part due to his self-purported role in having orchestrated the events that led Leviathan to her home world.[1j] Lacking enough firepower aboard the heavily damaged Peregrinus, she purposefully ordered to have the Ark Mechanicus vessel perform a Warp Jump within the gravity well of the unnamed and half-made world, destabilising the gravity of the world and its satellites. The destabilisation resulted in the Genesis vessel being sent to collide with the world's surface.[1k]
