Ingvar Orm Eversson, known as Gyrfalkon, was a Space Marine of the Blackmanes Great Company in the Space Wolves Chapter.[1a]

Biography

He was originally a member of Berek Thunderfist's Great Company. At one point Ingvar was chosen by Berek to conduct a tour of service with the Deathwatch. In the Deathwatch, Ingvar was a member of Onyx Squad[1b] alongside Callimachus, Jocelyn and Leonides. His secondment lasted approximately 57 years before he was released from his service and allowed to go back to his home Chapter.[1a] By the time he returned, Berek had been succeeded by Ragnar Blackmane[1a], who assigned Ingvar to Járnhamar Pack, his original pack (albeit understrength and with unfamiliar faces as a result of battle losses).[1b][1c]

Immediately upon his return to the Pack, Ingvar began to have tension with its new leader, Gunnlaugur.[1c] The new Pack Leader constantly seeks to sideline Ingvar and ignores his advice in battle, leading to a physical confrontation during the battle for Ras Shakeh.[1d] Ultimately however, the two learn to work together particularly when Ingvar saves Baldr during the battle for the world. During the battle, Ingvar learns of the existence of a mysterious individual with a vendetta against the Space Wolves dubbed "Fulcrum" from the dying Sister of Battle Bajola, and receives his gold pendent.[1f] In the end, Gunnlaugur welcomes Ingvar into the Pack.[1e]

During the subsequent battle with the Sorcerer Mycelite aboard the Space Hulk Festerax, Gunnlaugur leads the assault alongside Njal Stormcaller.[2a] This leaves Ingvar alongside Jorundur to sabotage a silo of Virus Torpedoes that is about to be unleashed by Cardinal Delvaux towards the nearby Hive World of Kefa Primaris.[2b] The duo are successful, and reunite with Gunnlaugur and the rest of the Pack aboard the warship Heimdall. Afterwards, he works with Gunnlaugur and the rest of Járnhamar Pack in rescuing Baldr from execution after he is condemned as a Witch, becoming fugitives from their own Chapter in the process.[2c]

Now living renegades aboard the Amethyst Suzeraine, Ingvar and the rest of the pack seek "Fulcrum" as a chance of redemption.[3a] They eventually are able to track the trail of Fulcrum to Ojada VII, revealing it to be the traitorous Cardinal Leon Chirastes.[3b] Guided by Baldr to Cadia, Ingvar takes command of the remainder of the Pack to find Ragnar Blackmane as Gunnlaugur and Jorundur stay behind to help Imperial forces amidst the 13th Black Crusade.[3c] Ingvar is successful in finding Ragnar and informing him of the plot by Chirastes, and later reunites with a badly wounded Gunnalugur aboard the Space Wolves Frigate Dawnrunner.[3d]

Wargear

During his tour with the Deathwatch, Ingvar developed a preference for a stalker bolter over the Godwyn-mark bolter he carried before. On returning to the Space Wolves, he was allowed to take the weapon with him which, along with an onyx talisman, were the only items he was allowed to keep.[1a]

He also wielded the ancient relic blade Dausvjer, presented to him by his Wolf Lord, Berek Thunderfist.[1a]
