Istrian was a Lieutenant of the Ultramarines Legion, during the Horus Heresy.[1a]
History
Shortly after the Siege of Terra ended in the Imperium's victory, the Ultramarines took part in the Retaking of Luna. During that battle, Istrian served under his Legion's Chief Librarian, Titus Prayto and they fought besides a small Salamanders force, that was led by Atok Abidemi. They were later ordered by the Ultramarines' First Captain, Verus Caspean, to aid Captain Morovain's Blood Angels force with securing a location beneath Luna's surface.[1a] The Ultramarines, Salamanders and Blood Angels succeeded in doing so and the location was revealed to be a hanger, that contained a fleet of black ships.[1b]
