Jovian was an Apothecary of the Genesis Chapter, serving in the Chapter's Seventh Company.[1a][1b]
History
During the Indomitus Crusade, Jovian was part of the Imperial force on Quradim, defending it from the Iron Warriors under Warsmith Bolaraphon. Jovian and his group of Space Marine and mortal followers are picked off one by one by the Iron Warriors.[1a] However a group of Ultramarines reinforcements under Chaplain Helios arrived, as Jovian and the remaining Genesis Chapter warriors struggled to defend their citadel, which held the Gene-Seed of the fallen warriors on Quradim.[1c]
During the final battle for Quradim, Jovian volunteered to stay behind with the remaining Genesis Chapter to hold off the Iron Warriors as Helios and his Ultramarines went to deal with Warsmith Bolaraphon, who had intended to detonate Virus Bombs to deny the world to the Imperium. He gave the Gene-Seed cache to Ultramarines Sergeant Theron before dying in combat against Bolaraphon.[1d]
