Katla Helvintr
Katla Helvintr, the Wyrmslayer Queen, was a Fenrisian who commanded the Rogue Trader House Helvintr and her daughter Astrid served as her second in command.[1a]
History
House Helvintr is part of the Davamir Compact Rogue Trader alliance, which was led by Davos Lamertine of House Lamertine. However the leadership of the Compact can be taken by those who have the strength to do so. Katla is among those that Davos feared will soon move to take the title from him. This is doubly so, after his Daughter, Evelyne Lamertine died, who was chosen to be his heir. Left with little choice, Davos has now chosen his son Erastus to take her place. Both Davos and Katla knew, however, that Erastus has not proven himself yet, like Evelyne had.[1a]
Katla Helvintr was seriously injured in battle with Genestealers aboard her flagship Wyrmslayer Queen, and at first everyone thought that she died,[1b] but later it turned out that she was alive[1c][2] - cured by her old advisor - a gothi Bodil.[1c] She later went on to discover a second stable route through the Great Rift dubbed the Attilan Gate.[2b] She has since become allied with Inquisitor Rostov in his quest to stop the Hand of Abaddon.[3]
