Memnyr Strategists are cunning Leagues of Votann Ironkin, who serve as strategists for their Kahls.[1][2] It is amongst the highest positions an Ironkin can hold in Kin society.[2]

Description

Memnyr Strategists are Ironkin who have been blessed by the Votann with superior intelligence and organisation ability. Their role extends far beyond simple battle strategy and war statistics. They comb through every last scrap of data they can access in any given situation, collecting the sum total of knowledge available until they know as much about their enemy as they do themselves. They parse millions of data points from both Kin and enemy and cross-reference them with the capabilities and resources of their Kinhost before offering advice to their guiding Kahl. Strategists are capable of monitoring enemy communications and energy discharges, allowing them to gauge location and vulnerabilities of their positions and power network. A skilled Strategist can amass almost as much insight of the foe's capabilities as possessed by their own leaders.[2]

Thanks to their artificial minds and high cognitive processing power, Strategists are capable of sharing all manner of data with accompanying Kinhost commanders in real time and combine it with tactical advisements based on metaphysical problem solving. This allows Leagues of Votann armies to respond with near supernatural speed and decisiveness in the midst of battle.[2]

There are various types of Memnyr Strategists. Some serve as chemical analysts, others production schedulers, resource diviners, claim moderators, and other vital roles. Chief Strategists have a seat on the Votannic Council of their respective Kindred. When the threat of conflict looms, all of these figures can quickly transition to roles of war strategy and tactical analysis.[2]

Memnyr Strategists possess a Kognitâar Mantle, which allows Memnyrs to link to the additional Cerebral Units the unusual piece of tech houses. This allows Memnyrs to multiply their cognitive power and makes them better at directing the Steeljacks.[1] However to most of the Votann these nodes are not true Kin, but rather simple extensions. To suggest an esteemed Strategist communed with the disembodied minds of others would be a grave insult.[2]
