Onboard the Battle Barge Resilient while accompanying his squad leader Vespasius and Battle-Brother Scipius they were personally debriefed by Lieutenant Demetrian Titus on a assassination mission regarding the Tyranids Hive Tyrant leading the swarm on Avarax. Once Quartus and his squad are deployed Captain Acheran would monitor their progress and provide additional assistance whenever he can. [1a][1b]

Decapitation

Enroute to their designated landing zone, Captain Acheran provide additional instructions and information to Quartus and his squad on how to kill the Hive Tyrant. They must move out towards a nearby bridge being protected by the Cadian 8th because the Hive Tyrant is moving towards that location and Explosives must be planted on a Bridge Tower so that the structure can collapse on top of the Hive Tyrant in order to kill it. After arriving on the landing zone, Quartus and his brothers fought their way against countless hordes as they make their way to the Bridge Tower. When Quartus and his brothers arrived on the tower, they start planting as many explosives as they can on the weak points to make sure the entire collapse on top of the Hive Tyrant. Once the Explosives are setup they made their way to the bridge guarded by the Cadian 8th.

Arriving on the bridge, they were greated by one of the Cadian Lieutenants as they're happy to see the Ultramarines fighting alongside them. However Captain Acheran and Squad Talasa would debriefed the Lieutenant and his men that the Hive Tyrant is moving towards their current location and they want to ambush it. The Cadian Lieutenant accepted his new orders and waited alongside the Quartus and his brothers until the Hive Tyrant is located. Hordes of Tyranids would start attacking their position but the Cadians hold the line due to the assisstance of Combat Squad Talasa. When the Hive Tyrant appeared, Quartus and his brothers activated the explosives and the entire building collapsed including a giant statue landing on top of the Hive Tyrant. Quartus, his brothers and the Cadians celebrated due to the assumption that they killed the Hive Tyrant, in reality they were contacted by the Titus and Captain Acheran that the Hive Tyran is still alive because the Tyranid Swarm it leads did not die nor go feral. Quartus and his brothers continued the pursuit while the Cadians will hold the bridge and stop any Tyranids from flanking the Ultramarines.

Quartus and his brothers are frantically searching for the Hive Tyrant until they saw it got up from a rubble and tries to escape due to it being heavily wounded. The Hive Tyrant called in reinforcements to stall and kill Quartus and his brothers but despite this setbacks they pushed through until they cornered the Hive Tyrant in a destroyed building. Quartus and his brothers fought the beast in desperate battle and luckily slained the Leader Beast, with its death the Tyranid swarm is either dead or gone feral. The Cadians would be leading mop up operations while Quartus and his brothers would extract back to the Battle Barge Resilient.[1a]

Fall of Atreus

Several days into the Demerium Campaign, Demetrian Titus orders Combat Squad Talasa to find the Sword of Atreus and use the Battle Barge to ram it into the Thousand Sons Silver Tower. Titus instructed Quartus and his brothers to head towards the Mechanicus Compound as the Battle Barge is being held their under the careful watch of Artisan Balthazar and his Enginseers. Balthazar would contact Quartus and his brothers as they needed aid to protect their Compound against the Thousand Sons. While enroute to the Mechanicus Compound, Quartus and his brothers saw Redemptor Dreadnought Brother Valtus is ambushed and they intervined to save their brother against the Thousand Sons.

After defeating the Thousand Sons troops, Valtus would open the gate to a nearby Cathedral and let Quartus and his brothers use it as a shortcut to quickly move towards the Mechanicus Compound. Quartus and his brothers fought their way to the Compound and they eventually arrived while its being under siege by the Thousand Sons. Valtus arrived earlier and he requested additional aid from Quartus and his brothers against the biesiegers. Eventually Valtus and Talasa destroyed every troops besieging the compound and then they entered the facility. Once inside the facility, they told the truth to Balthazar that they would commandeer the ship and ram it towards the Silver Tower. Balthazar would protest against it due to how ancient the vessel is and he would only back down after Captain Acheran threatened Balthazar to be reported to the Fabricator-General.

Balthazar is forced to assist Quartus and his brothers in using the Sword of Atreus to destroy the Silver Tower. He instructed Quartus and his brothers must use the Fusion Battery to power up the Power Plants in order to restore its engines first. Once the Power Plants are restored then Quartus and his brothers must escort it to the Battle Barge while being under fire from the Thousand Sons Troops. After arriving on the Battle Barge's location, Quartus and his brothers start defending the Power Plants as they charge up the Sword of Atreus' Engines. Once the Engines are powered up, Quartus and his brothers activated the Ship's engines and have it ram the Thousand Sons Silver Tower while Balthazar lament at the lost of the ship.[1a]

Obelisk

After Combat Squad Talasa and Veridian finished all of their objectives, Lieutenant Titus and Captain Acheran would contact both squads again and issued them new orders on finding the Obelisk Control Console and shut down the shields protecting the Obelisk. After Quartus and his brothers recieved their new orders, they would march on towards the location of the Control Console while they fought against countless Thousand Sons Troops along the way. While enroute to the Control Console the squads found a nearby tomb and used it as another route to move towards the Control Console. Complications arises when the Tomb is filled with Chaos Corruption and only way to move safely within the tomb is by using the Holy Relics. Eventually Quartus and his brothers would escape the Tomb unscathed and arrived just in time on the Control Console. The Control Console is heavily guarded by a Thousand Sons Sorcerer and his garrisoned troops under his command. Despite being outnumbered, Quartus and his brother managed to kill the defenders and shutdown the Control Console. Once they completed their objectives both squads regrouped with their brothers from the Ultramarines Second Company and continued the fight.[1a]
