The Runemarked are one of the twelve active Great Companies of the Space Wolves Chapter.^[1a]

History

Runemarked symbol^[1a]

They were once known as the Firehowlers, until the Wolf Lord Sven Bloodhowl went missing during the Thirteenth Black Crusade and the Great Company was renamed as the Runemarked, by his successor Hrothvyr Runescar.^[1b] The new Wolf Lord chose the Rune Wolf as a sigil, which represents foresight and fortune.^[1a]
