Rutger Haruto
Rutger Haruto is a Guardsman of the Catachan CMIII Regiment, who serves as the orderly to Major Wulf Khan. She considered him to be incredibly sharp, but this was impacted by Haruto's stubbornness, which had both aided and inconvenienced her.[1]
History
In M42, the Catachan CMIII was among the Imperial forces that unsuccessfully defended Lazulai from a Tyranid invasion. As the world began to fall to the Xenos, after months of warfare, the Regiment's remaining hundreds of Guardsmen were defending Cobalt Fortress under Major Khan's command. The Fortress itself was led by the Cadian 2012th General Kvelter and was one of the last left on Lazulai. However with the world deemed to be beyond saving, no further reinforcements would be sent to the surviving Imperial forces there. As Lazulai was being consumed by the Tyranids, though, cracks began showing between the Fortress' Regiments. This became an issue after Captain Bligh, of the Cadian 2012th, brought charges of infringement of discipline, breach of the disciplinary code and insubordination against Adair, for her actions during an attack on the Fortress. He was going to execute her for this, but Haruto was able to inform Major Khan about what was happening, before the Captain could do so. This allowed the Major to intervene in time to save Adair's life and free her from Bligh's grasp.[1]
