Hippogriff[1]
The Hippogriff AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicle) is a six-wheeled Astra Militarum vehicle, that provides long distance fire support.[1]
The Hippogriff has ample firepower, as its turret can be mounted with a Battle Cannon, Castigator Gatling Cannon, Melta Cannon or a Lascannon with a coaxial Heavy Stubber or Meltagun. The vehicle's six wheels are also mounted on independent servo-axles, which provides it a good balance of speed and stability. The Hippogriff will often be the heaviest fire support that an Astra Militarum scouting platoon can expect to receive as well. However, stories abound of how Hippogriff squadrons were able to hold off much more advanced foes until Imperial armoured reinforcements arrived.[1]
