A landing craft is technically any small or medium-sized aquatic vessel used primarily to move and deploy land-based forces across water, especially during amphibious assaults. The model utilized by Lethean Penitents against the Wintertide Concordance during the conflict on Phaedra featured a single enclosed pilot's cabin and gangway at the bow, and enough metal benches in the open-air hold to accommodate fifty Imperial guardsmen. They were capable of surviving extreme sea states, including near-vertical waves.[1a][1b]
