Epsilus Dammek-Yoth
Epsilus Dammek-Yoth is an Arch-Heretek and Xenarite from the Forge World Stygies VIII[1a], who wields the master-crafted Power Axe, The Sufferer Shattering Axe.[2]
Epsilus was once a researcher into xenobiology and a pioneer of research on the Necrons, eventually rising to the rank of Archmagos Veneratus. Much of the information Faustinius uses to assess the Necron threat on Silva Tenebris comes from Epsilus. In time, Epsilus came to believe that the Necrons technology should be used to help first the Adeptus Mechanicus and then mankind entire to discard their flesh and humanity. Fleeing Stygies VIII after a purge of Xenarites within their ranks, Epsilus has gone into hiding and seeks to further his heresy in defiance of both the Machine-Cult and the Imperial Creed.[3a]
He infiltrated the Ark Mechanicus Caestus Metalican, when Magos Dominus Faustinius took command of it and led an expedition to the world Silva Tenebris. When it was revealed that Tenebris was actually a Necron Tomb World, Epsilus used Tech-Priests that he had corrupted to stage an uprising aboard the Caestus[1a], in order to claim the Necrons' xenotech.[2]
Epsilus briefly managed to seize control of the starboard gunnery deck of the Caestus Metalican. However, his forces were defeated by loyal Skitarii. Epsilus briefly attempted to negotiate with Faustinius, offering to spare him and his supporters if he voluntarily turned control of the vessel and the expedition over to Epsilus.[1b]
Epsilus was eventually cornered and slain by Faustinius' tech-priests before he could complete his plot. All evidence of his existence was expunged and all his followers slain.[1c]
