Scaevola is a Tech-Acquisitor hailing from Stygies VIII. As a tech-acquisitor her statement of purpose is To perceive the grander picture, to strive to acquire and understand for the benefit of all Mankind.[1] She has harvested technology from a hundred xenos races and delved into secrets unknown to even the Necrons.[4]
Silva Tenebris
Scaevola was part of the triumvirate commanding the Ark Mechanicus ship, the Caestus Metalican and advisor to Magos Dominus Faustinius during this mission. It is currently on a salvage mission to the newly rediscovered world of Silva Tenebris. The Ark Mechanicus is commanded by a triumvirate of tech-priests, with Magos Dominus Faustinius of Mars leading their mission. Tech-Acquisitor Scaevola is one of the supporting members of the triumvirate, alongside Lector-Dogmatis Videx of Metalica.[1][2a]
Her curiosity of Xenos tech upon the Necron Tomb World often puts her at odds with the puritanical Lector-Dogmatix Videx of Metalica, who is also in service to Faustinius upon this mission. Scaevola sees this mission as a wondrous opportunity to discover tech secrets, gathering this knowledge for Mars and the good of all.[1]
Scaevola is secretly a Xenarite and encourages Faustinius to plunder the vaults of their Necron technology and knowledge. As a xenarite, Scaevola seeks to use xenos-tech in order to benefit humanity. Plundering these pristine xenos artefacts would surely increase her position amongst the Xenarites' hierarchy, as well as increase Stygies VIII's power.[1] Unlike the heretek stowaway and fellow Xenarite, Epsilus Dammek-Yoth, Scaevola doesn't seek to have alien technology define humanity, or to entirely replace humanity's biological forms with living metal bodies as Epsilus seeks to do.[3]
Scaevola is excited when encountering Necron Destroyers, stating that anti-gravitational technology is an area Stygies VIII's Magi have requested as high priority.[1]

The following paragraphs contain spoilers for: | Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus |
- Of the 4 possible endings of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, the Xenarite ending features Scaevola's mission to raid the Tomb World's library. Once successful, she gathers as much data from the Tomb World of Silva Tenebris as her internal data-stores can carry. Scaevola would subsequently head to Mars, babbling that she must report her findings to "The Dragon". This is likely a reference to the Dragon of Mars, of which Faustinius is seemingly unaware, commenting that he assumes this "Dragon" is probably the title of some Xenarite leader.[1b] In the sequel game Mechanicus II, this proves to not be the canon ending.[4]
