Brôkhyr Iron-master
Brôkhyr Iron-masters are members of the Brôkhyr Engineering Guild within the Leagues of Votann.[1]
Overview
These figures are the greatest artificers within the Brôkhyr and the most respected authority on all things regarding the physical craft of engineering. Through testing and improving their mechanisms, each Brôkhyr develops their preferences and quirks. These become their nature, and the Iron-masters have the most esteemed and recognizable of these styles of design. The signatures of the Iron-masters are adopted as the standard by fellow Brôkhyr so that over time many Kindreds - or even entire Leagues - have adopted their methods of crafting and manufacture.[1]
Iron-masters have risen through the ranks of the Brôkhyr to the point where they command highly skilled labour pools that can number in the hundreds. Some work within a kindred's Hold, heading groups of senior architects and material specialists. Others command dozens of subgroups in developing new technologies or component refinement. There are also Iron-masters who lead military forces of the Brôkhyr, often in the form of Forgebands supported by Hearthkyn and other allies. Some of these expeditions may be desperate relcamation operations of fallen holds. Others may attempt to uncover the possible location of a lost Long March ship. The claiming of Kin-wrought materials is of the utmost importance, and the Iron-masters and those they command will gladly risk their lives to obtain such treasures.[1]
In war, the Iron-Masters are equally dangerous and take some of the most potent weapons of the Votann. They wield Autoch-pattern Bolt Pistols, Graviton Hammers, and Graviton Rifles. A dutiful Ironkin assistant and a gaggle of E-COGs will also frequently accompany an Iron-master and carry further equipment such as a Plasma Torch, Las-Beam Cutter, and manipulator arms.[2] Outside of direct combat, they can expertly coordinate Kin fire and refine equipment.[1]
The greatest of the Iron-masters may one day rise to Brôkhyr Forge-master.[1]
