An Omnissian Rod[1]

Omnissian Rods are exceptionally rare devices gifted only to the highest ranking members of the Cult Mechanicus. Longer than the height of a man, the rod is topped with the double-headed eagle of the Imperium and the cog and skull symbol of the Mechanicum is embedded onto the centre of the eagle. Such a design displays the unity between the two organisations, a symbol of the alliance struck between the God-Emperor and the Mechanicum millennia ago.[1]

However, the rod is not just a symbol. It is also a dangerous and powerful weapon, capable of blasting away enemies at range and smashing them into pieces when they get up close. Comprised of several flexible and linked sections that can come apart into a thick chain at the user's whim, each swing of this weapon crackles with energy that can barely be contained, similar to that of a power weapon. If the user wishes, the rod can swiftly return to a rigid length of metal at a moment's notice, making it an excellent defensive weapon. And if the user wishes, energy can be channelled across the length of the rod and fired off in a series of blasts that bears resemblance to that of a plasma gun. None can escape a Magos' fury with this weapon in hand.[1]
