The Domitar Class Robot was a type of war robot used by the Adeptus Mechanicus during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]

Overview

The last type of war robot to enter Mechanicum production before the Horus Heresy, the Domitar was a variant of the sophisticated ancient Conqueror Class Robot.[1]

Larger than the Castellax class it would serve beside, the Domitar was also swifter, designed to cross the battlefield at a high speed and built to crash into enemy positions. To this end it was given a shock-protected heavily armoured frame and equipped with Graviton Hammers.[1] For long-range attacks, it was equipped with carapace mounted Ignis-Frag Launcher. This armament allowed it to pulverise battle tanks and, as it would later prove, even Legiones Astartes Dreadnoughts in combat. As a line-breaker, the Domitar was unparalleled in the Mechanicum’s arsenal, and its tactical flexibility was further augmented with a missile launcher armed with a variety of munitions.[2]

Above the missile system, Domitar has a special metal curtain that protects the ignis-frag launcher from enemy fire.[4]

A variant of the Domitar-Class Robot, the Domitar-Ferrum class, was used for the infamous Iron Circle.[3]
