Horstax was a world of the Imperium during the Great Crusade.[1]

History

A densely populated planet, in 014.M31 during the Horus Heresy it was the site of a deadly outbreak of disease which reduced its victims to zombie-like putrefied hosts. Over 98% of the planets population was eventually infected, with the survivors remaining ignorant that the phage had been unleashed by the Death Guard in orbit. This was the first stage of the traitor invasion, and the Death Guard was able to seize the planet as their own and assimilate it into Mortarion's greater realm.[1]
