Overview

Spoiler!
The following paragraphs contain spoilers for: Dominion Genesis (Novel)

The world known as Ikaneos-A would be the last terraformed by the Aeldari using the Turellea Dandramensha, translating to Dominion Genesis in Imperial Gothic. A garden paradise that would eventually be destroyed by Imperial forces. Eventually turning it into a poisoned, acrid, and irradiated world. The world would be bereft of both human and Aeldari life.[1d]

The Imperium, and Adeptus Mechanicus would make several expeditions attempting to colonize the world during M36 that eventually ended in failure. In M37, Fabricator General Tynovaren of Mars would declare the Ikaneos System quarantined from Imperial travel.[1a] A crashed Imperial Fists Gladius-class frigate, the Obdurate, is one of many Imperial and Mechanicus vessels fallen from orbit that make up the human wreckage littering the world's surface.[1e]

The foul, poisonous water of the planet is toxic and causes chemical burns.[1f]

In the Era Indomitus, Explorator Sherax would lead an expedition to this world in pursuit of a Genesis device. She would be ambushed by Idranvel of Biel-tan, who had been shadowing her pursuits and followed her to this world. The Eldar would leave the Tech-Priest and her ship in disarray, but not totally destroyed. They would escape the world and follow Idranvel to their shared goal, the Dominion Genesis vessel.[1]

Fauna

One creature on the world was a small and lean feral descendants of the larger and fatter domesticated Grox brought to the world by Imperial colonizers centuries or possibly millennia ago. By the Era Indomitus, these reptilian beasts were vicious, able to bite a man's limb clean off or simply kill 2 or 3 guardsmen beneath their weight and jaws in moments. They attack individually or in pairs, often times at night. Scarcity had made them solitary, wary hunters, but when rich prey enters their midst, the beasts would remember or relearn the ways of the pack. Their thick hides and overlapping scales could absorb a significant volume of las-fire and arc rifle shots, but it they charged over open ground they can be met with enough of a torrent of fire to be killed. Skitarii could also reliably bring them down in close-quarters.[1g]

Their grox meat is beyond foul. having a sharp, metallic tang it was loaded with poisons, the same as everything on the accursed world.[1g]
