Dominus (Adeptus Mechanicus)

Dominus is a title which indicates a military disposition for the Tech Priests[5c] and Magos[2] of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Overview
The most senior of the Tech-Priests may adopt the title of Tech-Priest Dominus to lead the effort,[5a] or a Tech Priest with a true talent for war may also bear such a title. Though they are as likely to hail from the laboratories of the Biologis as they are from the war halls of the Magi Militarum, each is an expert in weapons arcana.[5c]
Though the title is temporary, some Tech-Priests choose to remain a Dominus, addicted to the superiority and divine power such a position grants.[8]
Heavily trained in the art of war and able to skilfully monitor the battlefield with machine-like precision, Magos Dominus command Macroclades and Cohorts of Adeptus Mechanicus military.[2]
Pre-Heresy
Before and during the Horus heresy, Magos Dominus were masters in the ancient and dreaded art of battle-robotics, which made many within the Mechanicum consider them dangerous, limiting their chances of rising to power. Nevertheless, they were Adept in the Cybertheurgy disciplines.[1]
