The Battle of the Ultinian Rings was a battle that occurred on Ultinia 7 during the Horus Heresy.[1]

History

After the Dropsite Massacre, Sons of Horus hunter-slayers under Tybalt Marr were tracking down survivors fleeing Isstvan V when they were ambushed by a Blackshields force led by an individual later identified as Morkan Sayle, a Strike-Centurion of the Raven Guard. In the ensuing battle, a sky-hive housing 100,000 colonists was destabilised and brought plummeting into the lyotropic crystal seas of Ultinia 7. Centurion Morkan was presumed dead in that operation, along with over half of his force, but contrary claims continued to emerge even decades later.[1]
