Araknae Quad Accelerator Platforms were massive and formidable defensive emplacements that were used by the Space Marine Legions, during the Horus Heresy.[1]

Overview

Iron Warriors Araknae[1]

These automated platforms were equipped as standard with four deadly rapid-fire Accelerator Autocannons[1]; alternatively they could also be equipped with Orias Frag Missiles or Punisher Cannons.[4]

Each Araknae was protected by an atomantic pavisse[1] which is strong enough to shrug off a hit from a Fellblade.[2] Its atomantic shielding was also capable of protecting nearby friendly troops. Besides its anti-vehicle role, it was also effective in combating enemy aircraft.[3]
